Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between CBM Vet Physio and the client. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

Veterinary Consent & Legal Compliance

CBM Vet Physio operates under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015.
Physiotherapy can only be provided with veterinary consent (with the exception of maintenance).

You agree that:

  • Your pet is registered with a veterinary surgeon.

  • You have obtained veterinary consent for physiotherapy, or you authorise CBM Vet Physio to contact your vet directly.

  • You understand that physiotherapists do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication.

  • If, during my assessment, I identify a condition that I believe requires veterinary attention, I will request that you consult with your veterinarian before proceeding with physiotherapy. 

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your pet’s health, behaviour, and veterinary history.

  • Inform CBM Vet Physio of any changes in your pet’s condition, medication, or veterinary advice.

  • Ensure your pet is clean, safe to handle and in an appropriate environment for treatment.

  • Be present during treatment unless otherwise agreed

Behaviour and Handling

  • Whilst every precaution will be taken to ensure a safe and professional service, the owner accepts full responsibility for their animal's behaviour during the session.

  • If your dog has behavioural issues (nervous, reactive, aggressive), you must disclose this in advance.

  • CBM Vet Physio may request the use of a muzzle if needed.

  • Treatment may be refused if safety cannot be ensured.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, the following charges will apply:

  • 72 hours before the appointment: 20% of the session fee will be charged.

  • 48 hours before the appointment: 50% of the session fee will be charged.

  • 24 hours before the appointment: 100% of the session fee will be charged.

  • No-show: 100% of the session fee will be charged. 

Payment Terms

Payment options include:

  • Cash on the day of the appointment

  • Invoice sent after the session, payable within 14 days

Failure to complete payment within 14 days of an invoice being issued may result in the following additional charges:​

  • A 20% late fee will be added to overdue invoices every 7 days until payment is received. 

Travel and Coverage Area

  • Travel within the core service area as shown on the website is included.

  • Additional mileage fees may apply outside this area.

  • Mileage fees will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Data Protection and GDPR

CBM Vet Physio complies with UK GDPR.

You agree that:

  • Your personal and clinical data may be collected and stored for the purpose of providing physiotherapy.

  • Information may be shared with your veterinary surgeon when necessary.

  • Records are stored securely and retained for 7 years.

  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data (where legally permissible).
